Join our team of dedicated tutors and mentors

Tutor Requirements

  • Tutor K-12 youth in STEM subjects

  • Attend at least 1 BAE social per quarter

  • Attend all workshops for the students and all tutor trainings 

Quarter Attendance

  • In-person: attend 3-4 tutoring sessions 

  • Virtual: attend weekly tutoring sessions

Sessions: Weekdays 1-4PM and Tuesdays 5-8PM

  • M, W, R, F: 1:15-4PM

  • T: 1-3PM

  • When will applications be open again?
    Our applications are currently closed! Visit the "Apply" page on our website for more information!
  • I don't think I can go to all the events. Can I still be a tutor?
    We want to create a consistent and reliable environment for the students we tutor, so if you are unable to attend the required events, we will not be able to admit you. During the school year, we do the best to keep our tutors reliable and consistent. The requirements during the school year are as follows: 1. 3-4 tutoring session (in-person) or weekly tutoring sessions (virtual) 2. At least 1 social 3. All tutor trainings and workshops
  • What does tutoring look like during COVID-19?
    Currently, we are tutoring online via Zoom and have started tutoring in-person at one of our sites! It's very exciting to see more students come out and be engaged with us. If you're in the Westwood/LA area, we would love for you to tutor on site as well.
  • I already graduated. Can I still be a tutor?
    Yes! We'd love to have you on our team. Be sure to apply!
